Building Skills, Confidence, and Community: Our Year of Outreach Workshops Begins
We’re excited to announce the launch of a new year-long programme of workshops designed to support people who are experiencing homelessness or are at risk of becoming homeless. Funded by the local council, this initiative is rooted in a simple but powerful goal: to reduce risk, build confidence, and strengthen community connections through meaningful, practical engagement.

Get Involved
From April workshops will take place once a month across four core venues:
Spring Housing:
1-2:30pm, 2nd Thursday of the month
Harnall Lifehouse:
2-4pm, 3rd Saturday of the month
Rough Sleeper Outreach, 2 Dover Street:
2-4pm, 3rd Thursday of the month.
(Session 1: last Thursday, 30th April 2-4pm)
Steps for Change:
1:30-3pm, 4th Thursday of the month, starting May
These regular sessions will provide a stable, welcoming environment where participants can return, build relationships, and develop skills over time. By creating continuity, we aim to foster trust and a sense of belonging-something that is often missing for those facing housing insecurity.
Each session will focus on a mix of creative activities and confidence-building exercises – these will be co-designed by the attendees. Workshops may include art, drama, poetry, music, song making and more!
In addition to our monthly venues, we’ll also be delivering workshops on an ad hoc basis at four additional locations:
The Hub
St Basil’s Youth Centre
Central Hall
Tabono House
Dates for these workshops will be added throughout the year so keep checking back!
Looking Ahead: A Celebration of Progress
The programme will culminate in a combined celebration event in early 2027. This will be a chance to come together, reflect on achievements, and celebrate the progress made throughout the year. Participants, partners, and supporters will be invited to mark the occasion.

We’re excited and proud to be delivering this programme and grateful for the council’s support in making it possible. Together, we hope to create lasting, positive change – one workshop, one connection, and one step at a time.
