Rhys is an established actor, choreographer and movement director. Rhys grew up in Coventry, learning to dance at Freeman Dance in the city.
Rhys’s credits as an actor include starring in musicals such as & Juliet, Just For One Day and Why Am I So Single?. Rhys’s creative Credits include: assistant choreographer for Paddington The Musical (West End), movement director on Bat Boy (London Palladium); choreographer on Stephen Schwartz at 75 (Lyric Theatre), which was nominated for a WhatsOnStage award for Best Concert Event; movement director for No Limits (Turbine Theatre). They have also choreographed an array of new musical workshops, music videos and short films which have amassed thousands of views across social media platforms.
In 2025 Rhys choreographed for an animated film (to be announced) which will premiere in cinemas in 2027. They became one of the two inaugural choreographers selected for Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre Dance Lab programme with a choreographic showcase performed in the main space, and mentoring with the artistic director, Drew McOnie.
