Wes Finch

Wes volunteered to write songs with us before joining the staff at Underground Lights.

I’m a musician and songwriter who enjoys reading and writing poetry, the great outdoors and wild swimming. I live in a bungalow with my girlfriend and two cats, with lots of books and many hats. I was initially invited by Emma O to sit in on a few Underground Lights Creative Cafe mornings and try some song writing with the members and then joined UL as a project assistant in 2019.

I think the creative arts are a really important thing for mental health and wellbeing and have seen first hand how valuable UL is in bringing people together and having a positive impact on people’s lives.

I also work with Street Arts in Stratford on Avon, songwriting with socially isolated people and those with experience of homelessness and meet regularly with an Age UK Warwickshire funded project, meeting and playing music for people with dementia and their carers.
