Liz Churchill

Liz has worked in education for much of her life

and brings her passion to Underground Lights.

I’m very excited to be working with the team at Underground Lights! I am passionate about using drama as a tool of empowerment and I believe that everyone in society should have access to the arts, and opportunities to express themselves creatively. I’m looking forward to getting to know all the different members and working collaboratively with them to develop their ideas.

When I’m not facilitating with Underground Lights, I run drama sessions for children in primary schools. I’m also a parent-carer and home educator to my eldest child. I have previously lived and worked in India working as a teacher and in a voluntary capacity for different community projects involving drama.

In my spare time I love to read. I am also a keen writer of short stories, and my most recent passion is creating and performing poetic monologues.
