Hayley Harman

My journey with Underground Lights began in 2018 when I became a member. Being in the group gave me an opportunity to try out new things in a safe space without feeling self-conscious. I like to paint and write and create projects and enjoyed all the different ways I could express ideas.

Underground Lights is not just about acting: there’s poems, music, art, singing, and dance too. My confidence grew and I became a volunteer. During my volunteering I built skills in co-facilitation, leading workshops, and developing creative ideas.

Now, as a staff member, I’m delighted to be able to support all the talent at Underground Lights in the same way I was supported and help our members on their creative journeys.
