Connor Elliman

Collaborating with communities drives Connor to work with our members.

I am a facilitator working in community and heritage. My creative practice explores ways of bringing social histories to life through the arts. I am passionate about engaging communities who experience barriers to access the arts.

Some examples of groups I have worked with include people living with disabilities, LGBTQ+ communities, and young carers. I have an undergraduate degree in Performing Arts, and a postgraduate degree in Dance from the University of Chester.

Since then, I have worked with organisations such as Cheshire Dance, Blaze Arts, Movema, the University of Chester, Chester Pride, Restoke, and now Underground Lights Theatre. I am interested in physical theatre, improvisation, and hidden histories. To quote Michael Klein, ‘Only fools go marching on — the wise ones dance.’
